In the early 1800s, people began to flock to the beach for entertaining by the sea. The introduction of the railway, the sunny ocean border beach has become a more popular pastime. At the same time, outdoor casual fashion clothing has become a hobby of the noble people. Here, we can grasp the path of fashion swimwear. It is the predecessor of beach pants.

18th century:

In the 18th century, the phenomenon of swimming at the seaside, some people think that do not touch the sun's ultraviolet rays to keep the skin white. According to the 1797 fashion data showing the protected face hats, scarves and gloves, they treated two women in a bathing machine in Cavana. Ladies all know that the weight of the blouse-like bathing gown can prevent the robe skirt from floating up and showing their legs. This period has slowly ruled fashion in this way.

Regency era:

At the beginning of the nineteenth century, women flocked to the beachfront leisure beach, which meant the beginning of a revolution in swimwear. The fashion magazine introduced the elegant style in 1810.

"White French greenwood, or pale pink Muslim, long-sleeved, with a white French greenwood over the trowsers, which is dressed in a thin white Muslim antique cuff dress. The pale yellow, dark green border and rich silk Jacquard short scarf, light yellow gloves and light yellow or white Moroccan sandals, this simple outfit.

Mid-19th century:

Bathing clothes in the mid-19th century covered most of the female images. In 1864, Mrs. Godey was influenced by the long lanterns of creative women's clothing. These costumes are highlighted in the book.

Bathing machine:

At the ocean resort near the shallow water beach, after the shower, the small house on the wheel pulls the water out and drags it back to the shore. This situation is rarely seen on white sand beaches.

The bathing machine can make a rich woman stay safe on Victoria Beach for a day. When the horses load the cabin on the beach, the 19th century women will remove the powder, enter the cabin and put on the bathing suit. Do not let the clothes soak in the water. Flannel fabric is sure to suit most swimmers.

The 1890s:

Young ladies wear the latest 1890s swimwear while sunbathing. Women usually wear black lantern-style swimwear, and the collar and sleeves have sailor collars. Bathing suits are usually equipped with black stockings and lace bath slippers. Note that swimmers are wearing stockings with dotted lines and sun hats with silk threads.

At the end of the 19th century, people flocked to popular and fashionable seaside activities such as swimming on the beaches of the sea, surfing and bathing, and diving. Clumsy Victorian swimwear has become a heavy burden. The new clothing is conservative but not free enough, which was the most common phenomenon for young ladies at the beach.

Until 1910, women's swimwear has broken through conservative clothing design. The lantern-like bathing suit of the past is no longer visible on the edge of Victoria Beach.

Until the first few decades of the 20th century, the only activity of women in the ocean was to wave on the shore near the beach. In 1915, the female athlete began to share the actual exercise of swimming with people, so the swimsuit began to be gradually simplified to reduce the weight due to the water.

In the early 1920s, women’s swimsuits were gradually simplified to include garments above the knee. Although the matching stockings are still worn, the swimwear begins to shorten to the position above the stockings. From the mid-1990s fashion magazine told readers that "the recent West Jersey swimsuit has become a casual habit of people nearby."

To this day, beach pants and beachwear, which have evolved from swimwear, have become another fashion for beach leisure. Its main features are easy to wash, fast drying, comfortable and soft. It is also suitable for outdoor sports, home leisure, street fashion and many other occasions. It is accepted by more and more people.
